About

Hi, my name is Anugrah. I stay in Mumbai with my plants and lots of books and C.S. Lewis remains my favourite author. I write on topics that care about our mental health in our hustle culture.

Paint My Word is my online home seized with a purpose. I worked as a nutritionist for a living before I took up writing as my endeavour. As a nutritionist I always marvel experimenting with food and seldom dread spoiling a dish because learning and failing is a part of the creative process.

I love to read. C.S Lewis is my favourite author and my favourite poem is ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling. Other than writing and holding a degree in Nutrition I dream about lots of fluffy stuff inside my head and eating french fires. Through Paint My Word my aim is to mind-expanding and heart-warming reflections through the lens of art, history, creativity and our work culture so we can brave the difficulties and find goodness, purpose, and creative vitality.

My Story

There is something ever bending towards creativity in each one of us. This is the story of my heart too. This would mean, my thoughts can be fixated on folding my towels artistically, making sure the embroidery is seen. It is not a flaunt! It is letting my creative mind preciously assemble itself with the mundane of life. Hence, the laces and flowers, daisies and daffodils bring me as much joy as the masculine blacks and the bold retros.

Writing is been my ‘Alice in Wonderland’ space. But seized with a purpose. Because I have found that the charm of writing is similar to the intricate folding of my towels, and so is my love for arranging my home. There is quite a thrill in these moments. These are not just tasks of leisure. I do it anyway. Reading a book nor star gazing is my breathing space, they are life nuances and I find courage in them.
